Welcome to the City of Newark's Human Resources Department web site. Our department is staffed by a Human Resources Director and a Human Resources Secretary. We are responsible for all aspects of personnel administration including recruitment, employee orientation, benefits administration, contract negotiation and many other human resources activities. The purpose of our web site is to provide easy access to information about job opportunities with the City of Newark. We employ over 480 people in a variety of jobs. We strive to maintain a well qualified and diverse workforce.
