BIKE TRAIL CONNECTOR STUDY

The City of Newark and Neighborhood Design Center (NDC) completed a study in 2009 to connect the existing bike trails on the east and west sides of the City. The study examined possible bike trail connections via northern, central, downtown & southern routes in addition to identifying ideal trailhead locations.

October 26th Council Committee Presentation
On October 26, 2009, the final results of the study were presented during the Public Service Committee meeting. The presentation included trailhead and route location recommendations (included below) as well as the results from the public surveys. The City will wrap up the study with the NDC shortly once the cost estimates and final report are complete.
