Message from the Mayor:
Newark is located in the center of Ohio and has an amazing history that includes Native American culture featuring one of the 70 Wonders of the Ancient World, according to the book by Christopher Scarre, with our celebrated Newark Earthworks. The cultural arts influence of Newark includes The Works Museum, national stage acts appearing at The Midland Theatre, The Ohio State University and Central Oho Technical College as well as the world famous corporate headquarters of The Longaberger Company.
We also host the National Babe Ruth World Series at Don Edwards Park. Stay at The Place Off the Square in downtown Newark or Coco Key Water Resort on the west side of town.
